About Us
Our Story
Hi, I’m Tegan, the owner of Soul Tide Foundations. After ten years in Australia’s mental health system, I found standard support resources weren’t effective for me, I found they were hard to use during distress. Three years ago, I developed a personalised safety plan using a simple visual traffic light system to show my current zone and practical steps to self-regulate. This approach led to fewer crises, better communication, and greater confidence.
Soul Tide Foundations started from my own personal lived-experience and belief in clear, usable tools. What began as my private safety plan and resources is now a set of resources aimed at helping others create their own coping foundations.
Our Mission
Soul Tide Foundations exists to share practical, compassionate tools that help people recognise their emotional states and access supports earlier. We make mental health planning visual, simple, and usable in moments of distress so more people can build steady foundations for their own journeys.
What We Offer
- Visual safety plans adapted from lived experience.
- Easy‑to‑use tools for individuals, families and support teams.
- Guides and templates that help you personalise your plan and communicate it clearly to others.
Behind our name
Our resources are built around three simple ideas: Soul, Tide, and Foundations.
- Soul: your inner self and unique needs.
- Tide: mental health moves in waves and is rarely linear.
- Foundations: practical skills and plans that help you ride those waves with more stability.
Everything is designed to be adaptable so you can tailor it to your life and share it with the people who support you.
A Note on Support
This work comes from lived experience and is intended to complement—not replace—professional care. Our resources are tools to help you communicate and manage everyday challenges; if you’re in crisis or need clinical advice, please reach out to a qualified health professional or emergency services.
