About Us

Born From Lived Experience. Built For Real Life.

Hi, I’m Tegan the founder of Soul Tide Foundations.

Soul Tide Foundations began long before it had a name. It started in the middle of my own mental health journey. A journey where I often found myself heightened, confused, dysregulated and unable to use the traditional resources my support team gave me. In the moments I needed help the most, the tools I had were too complex, too text‑heavy, or simply forgotten.

Eventually, I asked myself a confronting question: Why weren’t these tools working when I needed them most? I realised I had been given the information, but not a way to apply it when I needed it the most.

That realisation changed everything.

I created a simple visual safety plan, what is now known as the Traffic Light System; to help me identify my emotional zones and take practical steps to regulate. It led to fewer crises, clearer communication, and a sense of confidence I hadn’t felt in years. It gave back my autonomy on my emotions.

People around me noticed the shift. My support team; professionals who had seen countless tools, told me: the resources were engaging, thoughtful, and well‑designed. What began as a private survival tool became the foundation of something much bigger.

Our Story

Soul Tide Foundations grew from the real, messy, yet beautiful parts of healing. The parts that don’t fit neatly into a textbook. Soul Tide Foundations started from my own personal lived‑experience and belief in clear, usable tools.

We design practical, lived‑experience‑led mental health resources that are engaging, relatable, and easy to use, even on your hardest days. Our worksheets, guides, and reflection tools help you understand your emotions, regulate in the moment, and build long‑term coping strategies through simple, step‑by‑step support.

Whether you’re a mental health professional, or someone navigating your own healing journey, our tools meet you where you are.

Our Mission

What We Stand For

Lived Experience at the Centre

Everything we create is shaped by real lived experience, not theory alone. We honour the messy, nonlinear nature of healing and design tools that work in real‑world distress.

Accessibility & Simplicity

Mental health tools should be easy to use, not confusing. Our resources break down complex concepts into clear, visual; step‑by‑step supports.

Compassion & Dignity

We believe everyone deserves tools that help them feel understood, empowered, and safe. Not judged or dismissed.

Community & Collaboration

Healing is not meant to be done alone. Our resources are designed for individuals, clinicians, and support teams. Helping everyone communicate and work together.
